You stand with women and girls everywhere.
You speak out against harm.
You want safer homes, safer streets, safer communities.
Respect starts with you.

White Ribbon Day takes place each year to raise awareness about violence against women and girls. The Office for National Statistics reported in 2023 that an estimated 2.1 million people in the UK experienced domestic abuse. Women made up roughly two thirds of those affected. These figures show the scale of the problem and why community action matters.

BVUK supports this campaign. Our community has a role in building safety. Report concerns. Support victims. Challenge harmful behaviour. Encourage open conversations in homes, workplaces, mosques, and community centres.

Your involvement strengthens the message. Share it with family and friends. Speak up when something feels wrong. Support those who feel unable to speak for themselves.

Together we build a safer environment for women and girls, here in Blackburn and across the UK.
